Replacement for SR 7/3 variant Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR)

Product Description

 Installation Checklist

Before powering up your new AVR, follow these steps to avoid damage:

  • Check the Fuse: The SR 7/3 features a fast-acting glass fuse (standard 5A or 6.3A). Always verify this is intact on a new unit.

  • Frequency Setting: Ensure the 50/60Hz jumper is set to match your engine’s speed.

  • The “V-POT”: Use the “VOLT” trimmer to slowly bring the generator to its rated voltage (e.g., 230V or 400V) once the engine is at full speed.

  • Stability: If the lights are flickering or the voltage is “hunting,” adjust the STAB trimmer clockwise until it smooths out.

Safety Note: The SR 7/3 is an open-frame design with live components. Never adjust the trimmers with a metal screwdriver unless it is fully insulated.
